Update on preparations for 2025
Students attending the Tawa College Bilingual Provision next year have now selected their optional subjects and met with their Head of House. They have also visited the location of the new provision and talked about uniforms, lunches and stationery.

Requests for tenders for a building contractor to undertake the construction works in the new provision space have closed and a contractor has been approved. We shared visuals for the Tawa College Provision in our previous update – you can view these here.

We have received funding for furniture and equipment, which will be ordered and arrive over the summer holiday break.

Student devices have arrived and will be set up in early 2025. These devices will connect to the Tawa College network and provide access to Google Classrooms and other educational resources.

Applications for a fulltime Educational Interpreter to work with and support students and the teaching team at our Tawa College Provision closed last week, and interviews are under way.

Mary Sleep from our Linden Provision and Nikki Weston, who will be teaching at the Tawa College Provision, have continued to work closely with Tawa College staff to ensure we are well-prepared to support our students when term 1 starts next year.
